Volunteer

The Brunswick Band Parents Organization (BBPO for short) consists of band parents who generously volunteer their time to support and fund the band program.  Serving the band and music education is at the core of our mission.

Concessions

Did you know that band parents operate all the concession stands at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium year-round?  Concessions are the largest fundraising source of the bands, and we always need help!

Click here to sign-up now or contact concessions@bbpo.org with any questions.

Chaperone the Band on Trips

BBPO member parents also help the director's staff manage the band for away games, competitions and special trips.  Chaperoning the band provides is a great opportunity for qualified individuals to experience performances firsthand.   Click here to learn more!

Uniform Room

Uniform room volunteers keep our Marching Blue Devils looking sharp in their uniforms.  They also make sure our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band look ready to perform in their tuxedos and formal gowns at concerts throughout the school year. You don't need to know how to sew to join the crew! SEW MUCH FUN #UniformCrew

For the third time since November 2019, the Brunswick Band Parents Organization is hosting a "Night at the Races" event.  This event is a chance for our band members and community supporters to have some adult time together.  It is also a fundraising opportunity.  To learn more, look for our event sign-ups in late October.

All of our events need fresh ideas - if you are interested in being part of our planning committee, please contact natr@bbpo.org for more information.

Each October for the last 40 years, the community of Brunswick welcomes some of Ohio's best marching bands to very own OMEA event.  One of the most iconic and longest-running competition events in the state also requires an army of volunteers to bring to life.  To learn more, check out this listing of volunteer positions descriptions, and look for our event sign-ups in late August of each year.

An event this size also needs many levels of leadership.  If you are interested being on our event committee, please reach out to events@bbpo.org for more information.

Spring of each (usually in April), we host the combined high school and middle school bands in an evening performance reminiscent of jazz and big band clubs of the past.  This unique event, like everything else we do, is not possible without the time and talents of our adult members.

If you are interested in helping out or helping plan the event, please reach out to events@bbpo.org for more information.
